GRAFFITI REMOVAL DAY
Graffiti vandalism is a problem across New South Wales and costs local communities millions of dollars each year. The New South Wales Government is committed to reducing this vandalism by encouraging local communities to get involved in the fight against graffiti. To support this goal, the Government has established a state-wide graffiti removal and prevention day known as Graffiti Removal Day. The aim of the Day is to encourage people to volunteer their time and get involved in the removal and prevention of graffiti. This year Graffiti Removal Day is a joint initiative between the New South Wales Government and Rotary Down Under. Smart Graffiti has been a proud co-sponsor for 2012, 2013, 2014 & 2015.

M80 COMPLETION OF PAINTING AND ANTI-CARBONISATION WORKS
The Tullamarine M80 Western Ring Road Freeway wash down, paint and coating of the newly built footbridges for Thiess Pty Ltd nearing it’s completion.
NAGAMBIE BYPASS WITH THE ABIGROUP
The $222 million Nagambie Bypass is the next stage in the progressive upgrading of the Goulburn Valley Highway, a vital transport route connecting the rich fruit and vegetable growing industries in the Goulburn Valley to Melbourne. It forms part of the national highway link between Melbourne and Brisbane. Stage one of the Main bypass is a new 13.5 km freeway-standard road from Mitchellstown Road to Kirwans Bridge-Longwood Road.
Smart Graffiti had to pressure wash all (or any) contamination on the concrete walls after the construction or placement had been completed, including the beams spanning over the road and railway. The surfaces then had to be solvent primed, a 2 coat acrylic Victoria Roads approved grey paint applied and then the final epoxy gloss coat for anti-graffiti and anti-carbonation applied as a last layer. Dry film thickness testing is also carried out every 100 metres for quality assurance. The total area was 12000 square metres and was done under exact and fully inspected testing.
M80 WESTERN RING ROAD FREEWAY FOOTBRIDGES
Smart Graffiti secured a painting and coating contract for Thiess Pty Ltd to wash down, paint and coat the newly built footbridges on the Tullamarine M80 Western Ring Road Freeway. This took about 6 weeks to complete and work takes place up to a height of 33 metres.
Anti-Carbonation has been formulated to confer long term protective and decorative properties to concrete and masonry surfaces. The micro-porous structure of the coating acts as a barrier to the ingress of Chlorides and Carbon Dioxide and other acid gases, but allows the passage of water vapour from the substrate. The electrometric nature of Anti-Carbonation ensures good crack bridging properties, in case of structural movement.
Where new and existing concrete and masonry structures require protection from Water, Carbon Dioxide, Sulphur Dioxide, Oxides of Nitrogen, Chlorides, Sulphates and UV radiation. Examples: car parks, commercial and industrial buildings, bridges, subways, high rise flats, etc.
M80 WESTERN RING ROAD FREEWAY TULLAMARINE OFF RAMP
Smart Graffiti secured a painting and coating contract for Thiess Pty Ltd to wash down, paint and coat up to 20,000 square metres on the Tullamarine off ramp and the M80 Western Ring Road Freeway concrete panels. Following the continued success of The Abi-Group Nagambie By Pass, Smart Graffiti’s Painting Division were proud to announce winning the M80 Tullamarine Freeway works. The Manager, John Smart and his team were hard at it, beautifying the Concrete Freeway walls in 4 colours working under Thiess Pty Ltd & Tulla Sydney Alliance Group and Vic Roads.
Ted Smart, the Director is proud to be partnering Thiess Pty Ltd & Tulla Sydney Alliance Group and stated:-

The project took 3 months to complete and was subject to weather and enhanced the Freeway.
